Solar O&M Engineer
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Solar O&M Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Rajasthan, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the operation and maintenance of solar power plants, with a focus on ensuring optimal performance and longevity of solar assets.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the operation and maintenance (O&M) activities for solar power plants in Bikaner and Barmer, Rajasthan.
• Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including panels, inverters, and associated electrical equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize energy production.
• Analyze performance data and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and reliability.
• Respond promptly to any operational issues or emergencies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance or repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of O&M activities, equipment performance, and inventory.
• Assist in the implementation of new technologies and upgrades to enhance plant performance.
• Prepare regular reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and system health.
Qualifications:
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 5 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of solar power plants.
• Proven expertise in solar PV technology, including understanding of inverters, string configurations, and monitoring systems.
• Hands-on experience with O&M procedures, troubleshooting, and repair of solar energy systems.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in the power/energy industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in using relevant O&M software and tools.
